I’ve finally made peace with the things I lost—normalcy, a pet, a parent, friends, trust, freedoms, among so many other things.
I can relate to your feelings, foreglow does sound very nice. I usually suffer from forebodings..
While I also lost a parent in the past five years, not to Covid, I don't get this feeling of losing normalcy. For me life is as normal as it used to be. When I think back at 2020, my feeling is one of, I don't know, triumph maybe. As in no, you didn't succeed in changing me or my life. I also cannot say I lost trust, as I didn't have any... As for freedoms, maybe the pandemic was a good lesson in understanding we have less freedom than we thought we did...
I also enjoy talking to Grok once in a while :))
