The date was November 12, 1892, multi day that would always be scratched in sports history, albeit nobody included that day could have perceived the significance of the event. It was the day that the Allegheny Athletic Association football group crushed the Pittsburgh Athletic Club. The diversion in itself was not an earth shattering occasion. Be that as it may, one of the conditions of the amusement made it a never-to-be-overlooked crossroads in sports history – one of the AAA players, William (Pudge) Heffelfinger, was transparently paid $500 to play the diversion. In this manner genius football made its introduction over 100 years prior in nearly darken surroundings that couldn't in any way, shape or form have given the scarcest piece of information to the overall notoriety the game would be bound to appreciate, especially in the winding down many years of ace football's first century.
