Hello everyone,how are you doing? Hope you are doing real good. I want to tell a story of how my younger brother found his love ,his backbone,his missing ribs,his wife.
It was on the 5th day of this month. My brother called me to inform me his intention of settling down with a woman of his dream. I was happy that at last in the long waiting he has finally made up his mind to marry.
I asked him ,if he has inform our family members and he said yes but my father has objected to his decision of going to Edo state saying that distance is far. We are from Imo and
the lady in question is from Edo. After talking to my father,he now see reasons with me why my brother can decide to marry from any tribe and religion of his choice. My father finally respected his decision. My brother's wife family then fixed a date. The date the gave us was 11 Of this month.
The day of the traditional marriage
It was on Saturday morning we were set to travel to Edo state with my family members ,they were four men and a woman that is me. we took off from my village by 5:am and arrive at 5:pm in the evening with the help of Google map. The family members of our new wife to be and their neighbors have gather in their compound when we finally arrived. The welcomed us and my brother whisper to his in-laws that we will rush everything, they should make it very snappy because we are going back same day.

The marriage rights began ,we brought out all the things the gave us in their list,that is the marriage rights for their daughter. Which include:1 basin of melon, 1 basin of onion ,one basin of beans,two bags of rice but we gave them one , 4 wrappers for our wife to be, 4 wrappers for the girl's mother clothings for the Father, seven cartons of alcoholic drinks ,so many things including goat. Time for the bride price ,they requested 20,000 naira ,when we gave it to them ,they refunded us 6,000 naira telling us that they are not selling their daughter. After everything they entertained us with their traditional food and we took our new wife home and pleasantry with them.we finished the marriage rights by 6:45 pm. Then we took of 7:pm. We arrived at the town of Auchi Benin city,and lodge in a hotel .

The following day will continue our journey to imo state.
We arrived at my compound by 4:pm . It was a successful marriage. My brother and his new wife have gone back to their base Lagos. Am happy that my brother finally decided to settle down.
