Hello diyhubs, I made a mobile of our solar system in respect to the prompt for this month. DIYHUB CONTEST - SUN( In collaboration with@needleworkmonday). The materials I used are not far from home, they are;
Poster colour
Cardboard
Old cloth material
Yarn
Cardboard paper
Acrylic paint
Glue & Scissors
PROCEDURE
Step 1; I started by cutting circles of different sizes with cardboard.
Step 2; I glued the biggest circle with the black cloth material. I cut stars with cardboard paper and painted it with silver acrylic paint and glued it on the the circle covered with black cloth material.
Step 3; I painted the circles which are the planets with their respective colours. I drew and painted a rocket. I cut the yarn to different sizes then I opened small holes on the circle covered with black cloth material .
Step 4; Finaly I cut another big circle and glued it over to the black circle ( this was to hold the yarn excesses that are at the back of the black circle and permit for gluing it to the ceiling) then I glued the planets and rocket to the end of the yarn , I aslo applied the glue behind the black circle and I held it to the ceiling in my room and this was the final look.
