"we have to have all noses the same way" indeed. It's ok to have side projects to be busy with but we all have to look at our future collectively because it will leads us to individual success people came here for. I actually just legitimately like and value this concept because of it's potential o bring income to third world countries and stuff and help quality of life of those with less options the fact that I can take part of that once the price goes up makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Deep down I'm still a facebook person and a mainstream user at heart, it has it's flaws for sure but it's like here it is what you make it and who you associate with just it has too much sponsored content and less organic content now. I do consume content and I was mindful of my own consuming habits and paying more attention to many things, how I got to this conclusion.

I get many people here hate it and that's fine, I'm not saying everyone rush to revive their zombie account but to dismiss an entire demographics on the most popular content sharing network based on they don't like it is a foolish business decision and that will hurt every user's wallet if we don't find a use case to lock more up. I get some people can have a sustainable income and need Hive for that income, meaning it's working exactly how it's supposed to but we need more incoming $$ to keep that dynamic rolling and balanced and that new $$ isn't really coming in.

My opinion only, I find they advertise the platform in a way that would be appealing to themselves because that's what they believe in but reality, they and those of like minds are already here so are they selling to themselves or to the population at large aka potential customer? We can still have the same core values and roadmap but advertise in an appealing way to the mainstream if you want them here. You want mainstream then go get em, show them instead of shilling them, everyone hates shillers. Crypo, decentralization and censorship proof isn't going to do it. After all the blunders facebook went thru in the last few years and everyone is still on it, it speaks volume about what the public values in general. Facebook can do no wrong and people will still be there because of it's convenience. I'm sure many users here are still there too. Tons of content produced here still adheres to community guidelines especially content produced by women on the platform and the travel community or the lifestyle blog, we like cats here too, so does facebook .

I think the long term goals and vision can be accomplished but we need quick solutions now that are easy to implement and by having content created here circulating will attract users one way or another without having to market them or spend $$ on marketing until we grow large enough and far enough along to be closer to the final product. We can still market a different crowd at the same time, the more the merrier, anything that helps hive I'm on board.

By trying to coach people with long term intentions to entertain the masses or their friends rather than the masses themselves will make it easier to moderate and keep clean of abuse and will likely be more coachable to our community standards until there is enough experience to handle a flood of mainstream newbies. As a mentor in real life, it's hard to coach people that just whine and don't listen to success tips but that represented the majority of shitposters that eventually left anyway. Which brings to the point, do we want a fast burst of quick users that are going to disappear in a few months or do we want to foster the potential long term user?

Thanks for coming by, have a great week-end and stay safe too!
