You are on point, yes because it's easy. That's what the mainstream user wants. I'm here by fluke, I am the mainstream user, I use facebook more than Hive, why? I can have private chats, I don't have a cell phone and work construction with a bunch of dudes...I don't want everyone having my phone number because it travels around across Canada often for the wrong reasons but I'm a contractor so it requires these same people can contact me for work. I will never leave facebook unless they shut it down. Long story short, it implements a lot of easy features that are convenient. People are happy and entertained there, people like convenient. Many people don't care about the censorship because they are not controversial. We are here because we are and want to post freely but most people don't want to write posts, just read them. Why isn't our content there conveniently for them? This place is too complicated for most mainstream user and the demographic that would adhere to our quality standards and original content would be the pages everyone follows, many of them their article looks like they have similar features/layout as here.

I also think if it is presented as a tool for people to enhance their social media experience by creating their own story or personal newsletter to their friends and let them discover the perks themselves would have more luck at attracting people if they are slowly introduced to the concept and what an ordinary person can do then selling them on crypto or censorship resistant, most don't understand the importance of it yet but they will one day.

Never know what the future holds, maybe someday you get to retire in Spain and stay!
