That's unfortunate, quality of life is indeed important, living in a peaceful environment and have it change can be frustrating. Here in Canada, a lot of places I post about are protected from development and are dedicated parcels of land for conservation efforts and research of eco systems, it's a high priority here. Over 300 species of rare animals and plants are generally in these natural sanctuaries. Of course other lands get disturbed but there is some guaranty that some areas remain undisturbed.
