Same for us, we like enjoying the outback much more and have year passes for the national parks and university forested botanical and exotic butterfly collection, it's really cheap and we go pretty often to make good use of our passes. We still like to go to the zoo or do other touristy stuff but we limit ourselves a few per visit and we get discounts for being locals. Around the city I like to hunt for murals painted all over, some from famous artists. Some things money just can't buy and yes enjoying the simple things in life don't always have to be expensive.

I don't mind arugula but they overcharge for it here I rarely buy it. Bitters go good with nuts fruits (both fresh and dried) and a sweet dressing to balance and it shouldn't be the whole salad.
