Well, if you can save it and put it back in later, it's just a little bump in the road, it's best in times like these to have a little side stash in case it comes to that, we never know what the rest of 2020 will bring, this year is a bit scary! I have stopped investing for now but as soon as I go back to work I can do one big dump. If work gets disrupted again well I wont be stressed out and just take it as a super long vacation. We are lucky in a sense that they have payment deferrals on many necessities but so far we haven't had to take part and just carried as if nothing happened so we wont have a huge tab to catch up with later like many others. Strangely enough I wad a few weird incidents happen over the last few years that had me re-think many of my spending habits and by the time covid hit, I was already a pro at curbing expenses to the bare minimum, almost like the universe threw me a lesson or 2 to prepare for this year. 5 years ago I would have seen a situation like this catastrophic, this year it's like I almost don't even care. It's been sideways? Ok no biggy , carry on...lets go outside and take in the sun. We planted our own mini garden for the first time and we are already eating out of it. Maybe in later years we can learn to be more efficient and grow more of our own food, food security isn't a bad thing with all the supply chain disruptions we have seen in Canada. I was never really affected because of my tendency to be proactive but I saw how everyone else fared. I smoke but don't drink and I don't have a cell phone, I keep my bills at bare minimum so I think it works itself out in the end.
