Oh, I was wrong, by the way. I asked a local hunter and he said the closest herds of caribou are only about 4-6 hours away, depending on the time of year.

I gotta say though, some of the caribou they shoot are rather small and I feel should be allowed another year of growth before they are harvested. But maybe they're aiming for the tender meat for the elders and babies to have easier food to eat? MORE QUESTIONS TO ASK! :D
