Ahoy there, I had a rare night where the clouds cleared from the sky and the northern lights were dancing about. I grabbed my phone and a small tripod, then headed out behind our friends house to get some nice shots.
I was thankful that the Northern Lights, for once, were actually on the northern side of town! That meant I didn't have as far to travel to get some photos. I live so far north that most of the time we have to look south in order to see the northern lights. 馃槄
Towards the south is also the town and all its light pollution, so you can see why I was happy the lights were to the north.
Proud of my girl for standing so still for so long. Not that I told her to stay, she just did. Which is awesome because she's the type of dog that likes to ruin your photography chances. I think the amount of pictures I have of her with no blur are a handful at best.
Gear for this shot was dead simple. A Samsung S20 in "night mode" and a cheap $15 tripod.
