This adorable female Snow Bunting was digging around in the snow looking for something. Yesterday it was +9 Celcius up here in the Arctic Circle which should be cold, but was making us sweaty just walking around. So I like to think the Bunting was attempting to cool off.
Soon after this photo a vicious fight broke out between this female and another Bunting
Hopefully either bird is okay and it's more of a "nah fuck you nah fuck you" match. I've walked through this area several times and they always seem to be scrapping. You'd think the weaker pair would move on to greener pastures by now. But maybe it's evenly matched. I know my mom and stepdad were pretty evenly matched and their bloody boxing bout lasted 7 years.
