Hello Hivers! How was your weekend?
Just sharing what occupied most of my time yesterday which was not listed on my supposed to be to-do list yesterday.
I was supposed to spend the day painting (as what I usually find myself keeping busy with on weekends) but my plan changed when one of my cousins called me and informed me that she was going home to the province next week. She asked if there is something that I would like to give to my family as pasalubong (anything given to loved ones, given by someone arriving from a distant place) so she could bring it with her home. So with no second thoughts, I immediately got myself simply dressed up and went to BGC (Bonifacio Global City where the mall I was going to go to, the Market-Market Mall where I will buy all the stuff to be sent to my family back home. It's my happiness. Providing them with anything from my hard-earned money is rewarding.
So join me as I stroll around this beautiful place. Yes, I mean it when I say "beautiful". BGC is decorated aesthetically with different stuff and it never fails to " wow" me every time I got the chance to visit here. Strolling around here has never been that lonely and boring.
So thankful that it did not rain yesterday (since we are still in the rainy season here in my country) so there was no hustle coming here. The sun was giving me a favor.
As I arrived, this wonderful and colorful display welcomes everyone. I love what it says "feed your Seoul". Just an example of how great the influence of Korean drama as well as their lifestyle on us that most of us have been adapting and making them part of our daily lives. Annyeonghaseyo!
As I continued walking, I passed this pasalubong stalls selling different delicacies from different provinces. If you crave something to eat from one particular place, there's no need for you to go that far to reach that exact place, the Market Market Mall has brought them all here for you.
You can buy anything you missed in Luzon here. They have here varieties of sweet delicacies that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Or if you want something from the Visayas that shows how creative Visayan people are.
Or even from Mindanao, which mirrors the colorful tradition and culture of the Mindawon people.
And then as I proceed walking, I saw this bazaar stalls selling clothes, shoes, bags, and different accessories. There were a variety of options to satisfy your soul with different stuff depending on your taste in fashion.
And then there's this colorful cotton candy stand which for sure, a lot of kids will love, reminded me so much of childhood. Its sweet scent has quickly taken me back to "those happy days".
As I entered the mall, there were already many people even though the mall has just opened. Usually, when I visit here, I could only see a few people during that time when the mall has just opened, I wonder what's with today. And then I suddenly remembered that it will be the first day of "face-to-face" class on Monday (today) that's why many students with their families flocked their way here.
Every time I am here, my feet automatically bring me to this art gallery.
For an art enthusiast like me, this is my "happy place". My heart always has a happy exploration of different places by staring at these fabulous world-class masterpieces all proudly painted by Pinoy artists, which we can proudly show to the world. I regularly came here to get some inspiration and I'm glad and thankful that the store owner has never gotten sick and tired of my face and got annoyed, even if I don't buy any painting from her store.😅
This is how I give meaning to "feed your Seoul". Feeding my soul with all the beautiful art can bring.
After satisfying my eyes with all the beauty hanging in front of me. I proceeded to the grocery store to buy all the stuff I will be sending to my family. I bought some chocolates, cookies, and some baby biscuits for my daughter. Their grocery has a lot of stuff to buy. No wonder it is always crowded.
And after buying all the things that I needed to buy, I felt hungry so I went to the food court to buy food.
Who doesn't love foods?! Of course, we all do love food. 😋
There were a variety of choices from different food stalls and you will be having difficulty choosing what to eat because they all look enticing and delicious.
I got myself one order of rib-eye steak and a buko (coconut) juice. As I was sitting alone in the corner, enjoying my lunch, my eyes wandered to look at the people around. Most of them were families enjoying their " family time".
That view has kinda given me a "pinch" of me being alone. I somehow got jealous, I admit. And a hopeless sigh wishing that my family were here too. But it doesn't mean that I was lonely. I looked at all the stuff I have bought earlier and knew that it will reach my family soon. And the thought of it makes them happy as they will soon be unboxing the package, makes my heart smile.
Me time this weekend has never been so boring. I had quality time dating myself. And my heart is full. So thankful for this beautiful place to stroll around that never fails to entertain me. It has really "feed my Seoul".
See you around next weekend! Thank you for dropping by!
