LeoFinance Alpha
I've been pushing the new UI as much as possible. I've been very active and making sure I test literally everything. I already stated that this has completely changed the game in my previous post. Now, it's time to share some feedback and some bugs I've encountered.
We all should understand that when you're building things from the ground up, you need to have people test them to find bugs or things that can be improved. This is why it's called open alpha. This is the MVP. The barebones version of what will be the new LeoFinance User Interface, and it's already really fucking good.
As a community, we have to do our part and provide the necessary feedback about what should be added or modified. After all, we need this to be so easy a normie can do it. When you're dealing with brand new technology like what LeoFinance is building for Hive, that is very much easier said than done.
We're witnessing and getting involved with the development of a pretty fucking revolutionary step in Web3 that could bring the masses. It's up to all of us to help the Leo Team built the Everything App that the world can use.
Let's start with general feedback
The need for more sign in methods is pretty obvious. This is something that the team is already very aware of, as they dropped the account switcher feature today. This allows you to have multiple accounts signed in via Hive Keychain. We desperately need Hive Signer as an option, and of course it would be cool to see Hive Auth as well.
We also need to see a "Sign in with Twitter, Sign in with Facebook, Sign in with..." option for normies. A way for users to log in with their social media accounts in just a few seconds, and start Threading. This is something we already have on the old UI, but it needs to be revamped and I think the team is already working on something for this that's much better.
Another thing I've noticed that is probably already in the works... Clicking on the Blue notification that someone replied to your post doesn't do anything. This should expand and show the comment or take you to the post directly to respond. Considering posts aren't even shown on profile pages at the moment, I'm pretty sure it's already coming. Just pointing it out.
I've also noticed a few minor bugs like this one where when tagging a user with a "." in the name, the UI only recognizes the first part. Clicking this will take you to 
Clicking the 3 dots on a Thread also doesn't do anything. I'd assume this is where the Edit, Share, and Downvote buttons will be, but for now it just takes you back to the Thread.
I've seen tons of other bug reports so I won't list ones I've already seen. My only other piece of feedback would be this... I've noticed an uptick in non-English content, which is awesome. I think the platform would greatly benefit from a way to automatically translate Threads to a set native language.
Having something like this would allow us to engage with users that speak different languages than us, without having to go to a translate app. Let's face it, people are lazy. If they see a Thread and they can't read the language, they will just keep scrolling. If they have a Translate button or a Translated preview to click... They might engage with that Thread.
Overall, this is a great experience for alpha. I'm thoroughly impressed.
