Good morning. Happy hump day. Another rainy day here in the south U.S. makes for a very sleepy NiftyPhill. I struggle to get out of bed when it's rainy. I think it's because I enjoy the sound of rain so much. As a kid, my mom would play the sound of rain for me to put me to sleep . Now, when I can't get to sleep I listen to the sound of rain on a tin roof. So fucking relaxing. I've got my dark roast espresso with the last bit of this awful Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored creamer. Great by itself, tastes exactly like the milk from eating cinnamon toast crunch. Mixed with coffee, it tastes like sad. Just pure sad. But I'm not a wasteful person so fuck it, I'm finishing it. Anyway, I'm here to share some of my recent dCity moves and talk about TAXES.
LOOK AT IT!
Isn't my little city cute? I am in love with it. I know I have a need for 28 workers at the moment, I have bids in for some Luxury Homes that I'm waiting for. My income has gone from over 80 SIM down to 39 SIM because taxes have gone to 100 fucking percent! Why?! It's worse than the U.S. tax rate which is pretty insane. I have researched all of the Education technologies and am currently working on the Automation technologies. I figure I need to maximize every bit of income, even if it's doubling my BEER production and getting that Mining Operation going. I got a WEED farm too, which has been awesome. Farming digital weed is a wet dream of mine lol.
Once I complete the Automation technologies, I think I'm going to work on Economy and Control. Economy to optimize income even more. Control because my crime rate is pretty damn high. I need that DEFI technology! Everything I can do to lower the chances of losing income on a daily basis is key because the fucking tax percentage is 100% right now. Fuck you and your War money.
Minting some cards
I minted 3 2nd editions and 3 3rd editions to test my luck. Scored a WEED farm and another Stadium. This will increase my WEED and ENTRY production. Nice. I love the chance of getting something rare from minting cards. I need something good!
Bought more Luxury Homes because they produce income as opposed to Barracks. What is the best way to increase population? I have been heavy into Luxury Homes.
Update was looking pretty nice before that damn tax hike. 88 SIM income was awesome. I was so close to 100! I guess BEER and WEED are my focus now. Ironic because I love beer and weed.
I forgot I had put in bids for Restaurants so they randomly showed up. I have got to stop bidding on shit while I'm high lol.
That damn Graveyard finally sold. What is the purpose of those cards? Like why would someone buy one? Enlighten me please.
Taxes
Alright. So I've watched taxes increase from around 88% to 100% in the past week. What gives? Income tax at 79%, war tax at 10%, and basic tax at 11%. Factor in the 2.5% lobbied war tax and taxes are over 100%. This is crazy to me. I understand that whales want war tax to be high because they probably earn more from war than from regular daily SIM income. Can't we find a balance?
