The fact that we have neanderthal DNA in our blood suggests that the races of the earth today do exist. The genetic material is just too great. And a species diverges when made with another one (rarely but happens). Horses and donkeys for example are different species but they can copulate. There is a huge clash in academia about this. Because it sparks massive political debates. So like everything else it gets suppressed.
Remember when a species somehow manages to copulate with another one their offspring is sterile (mule). In humans, for reasons, unbeknownst to us, some humans managed not only to copulate with neanderthals but their offspring was able to have offspring and copulate with 'clean blooded' sapiens.
Even if the amount of neanderthal DNA is small the diversion for our species along with the effects of climate constitute legit argument for the existence of race. How can anyone possibly deny this? We combined with another species (effects unknown) but we cant have races (effects unknown and/or suppressed)?
This is also why in every article mentioned in popular media you see biology and politics side by side...or even worse today...Trump. Who the heck will ever sponsor a research like this? You would be turned down from the ethics committee right on the spot and probably put a fine. Welcome to the new world of politically correct 'science'.
Academia does not care much about science done in its premises but about the politics that helps it make bank. Nonetheless, this is something any rational person can put together without necessarily having to be expert in genetics or biology. To top it all up. In order to avoid this and masquerade the language (is about suppressing scientific language with politically correct one) the "race" word has become "ancestry".
