Hello Everyone!
I would like to share a bit of my journey in the Splinterlands.
I started playing this amazing play2earn game since September 2021.
I was a little desperate when I first played this game. This game requires strategy, analysis, and knowledge of the ruleset as well as the statistics and abilities of the cards to be used.
I experienced an endless lost streak馃槀 but I learned from it and got more in love with this game.
After 1 month, I invested $700 on DEC and SPS when they are at $0.01 (DEC) and $0.34 (SPS).
I was only focusing on gaining the DEC from battle, SPS airdrop, and chests from Daily Quest and End of Season ( EOS ).
I couldn't afford to buy cards at that time as the price was really expensive. After Chaos Legion released, I started buying packs and cards.
I bought 21 packs in-game which cost $84. I know that I should open the packs after all the airdrop cards are opened but I can't bear it馃檭.
After opening the pack, the cards that I got were only worth $70 then I realized that opening a pack is like gambling and my luck is not there馃ぃ.
I got valuable advice from
@minismallholding for investing in Chaos Legion cards while they are cheap.
Based on the Splinterlands Town Hall the ranked reward will be decreased if we use the starter car.
I found out this is the right moment to start buying the cards as I believe the price will go higher later.
There are 3 party websites that will help us to buy and sell the cards and I chose Peakmonster that created by
@jarvie
@asgarth
@peak-monsters because they have features that friendly and easy to use for first time buyer like me.
I could bid on the card that I wanted to get a cheaper price. IMO, this is a war of patience between seller and buyer馃槀. I need to check the bid frequently and updated it as the DEC is fluctuating.
- Peakmonster also has a feature that makes it easy for me to find cards with good CP as I need to have 40k to achieve Silver 2 league. I just need to press the COMPARE menu on the top right.
- Another way round is the buy set in the buy menu. If we just want to collect the CP and really don't care about what cards we get.
- I got a weekly airdrop PKM token from Peakmonster. The amount of the airdrop is based on the tier. For every one-time transaction of $10, we will get 1 PKM token.
The first splinter that I build the deck was Water Splinter. The Summoners and Monsters are really strong and can compete with the previous card edition.
I bought some cards from Untamed edition as they can be used in the Modern Ranked battle.
Here is some photos of cards that I bought.
SUMMONERS
Water Splinter Cards
Death Splinter Cards
Life Splinter Cards
Fire Splinter Cards
Neutral Splinter Cards
- So far I have spent $314 to buy those cards and got tier 4 ( Rexxie Rancher ) in the Peakmonsters.
- So far I have cards with 41,750 CP and worth $434.18.
Now I really enjoyed the battle with the cards that I bought.
My next is target to achieve 70k CP so I can battle in the Silver 1 league to get higher ranked rewards and more chests from daily quest and end of season ( EOS ).
- I have a suggestion for Peakmonster cc
@peak-monsters to create a filter for card names in the Market History. So we can find the price of the cards that we bought before easily without scrolling down and checking 1 by 1.
