I have had a lot of arguments with vegans arguing that they don't eat meat and animal products because they have the ability to think. I argue that they are hypocrites since plants also think and its worse for them to think they are not hurting plants since they can think and feel.
More importantly plants cannot run away from them when they are getting harvested. Morally which one is more cruel.
