In one town called Sitka in Alaska lived an uncle. His name was Oliver Porky Bikar (Porky is his nickname, in translation, a piglet), he was a welder and worked in a local tire shop. The town is located at the crater of the old, long-extinct volcano Edgecomb, which has not erupted for more than 1000 years.....
So, this guy decided to use an interesting (and completely free) way to dispose of old tires - he secretly, at night he drove them to the volcano, and then threw them into the crater. So it lasted quite a long time - for three years! Nobody noticed anything.
And then, as April 1 approached, and everyone around began to think about how to make fun of relatives and friends, this Porky decided that it would be cool to play a whole city. And early in the morning of April 1, 1974, he flew to a volcano, poured gasoline and set fire to these tires. Has flared remarkably!
Waking up in the morning, the townspeople saw with horror how black smoke from the crater of their peaceful volcano. Even a pillar of flame breaks through, the air around is smelly, and all the surroundings are in black soot.
The panic began. People grabbed children, dogs and the most valuable, threw them into cars and drove away. On alert, a rescue service was raised from across the state, an airplane of volcanologists and rescuers was sent.
The helicopters climbed into the air to study the situation, just like the fact that a long-extinguished volcano suddenly took to life. That's when the secret was revealed - the tires are burning in the crater. A lot of. And next to the burning rubber, you could see 20-meter letters painted with paint on the snow: "Happy Fool's Day!"
Do not believe it, but he did not have anything for it. But in 6 years on the next volcano began a real eruption! But nobody believed him (the volcano), and the mayor of Sitka called Oliver and angrily said "This time you went too far!".
It was not the only big joke of this merry fellow. Once he ordered a container of pink plastic flamingos in full size and placed them at night on the field near the city and at the entrance. The people were in shock in the morning - where in the north are the flamingos ?!
Another joke - when his friend left for a couple of days somewhere, he planted around his house 20 young oaks. The joke is that in the state for a cut alive oak without a permit, a fine of 18 thousand dollars is required. A friend had to get permission to dig up and transplant 7 trees that were planted at the entrance to the gate. The rest and remained to grow.
