The purpose of this series of posts is to provide you with up-to-date insights on the state of Splinterlands.

• I am very curious to know how many of those 3.54 million battles per day were bots. Pretty sure the bot farms have inflated the numbers significantly, but it seems that on average every active player/account battles around 20 times a day.

• It's interesting to see that only 5.42% of the total signups actually bought the spellbook in the past 2 weeks. I believe that the most important metric to track for reporting new players should be "spellbooks purchased" as when an account has a spellbook only then does it start to contribute and participate in the Splinterlands ecosystem and economy.

• Interesting to see that close to one million cards have been purchased from the marketplace in the past two weeks. Pretty sure that Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers has inflated these numbers by flooding the market with cards which has at least lowered the point of entry for newer players.

• Since the Splinterlands team has made the decision to award SPS in ranked battles, I am convinced that the days of SPS being above $0.10 are over. I also wonder when DEC will return to its pegged value? Last time DEC was at or above it's pegged value of $1 for 1,000 DEC was back in June.

While Splinterlands does have a referral program in place, it only benefits the referrer and not the referee. Therefore, it is up to us (the existing players) to create our own referral program to help new players enter into the game. Here is how mine works:

• Sign up for Splinterlands through my referral link here.
• Once you buy the Summoner's Spellbook, I will receive 500 credits ($0.50) which I will use to buy DEC, cards, or both to help you start your Splinterlands journey.
• All you need to do is comment below the IGN you used to sign up with. Once I have verified it, I will reach out to see what you would like to spend your $0.50 on and then send it over.
