Monomad: Aggressive predatory insects (Robber fly)

I've been wanting to find this insect for a long time, but I don't know where it usually plays. Luckily a few days ago a friend told me that the usual place for the robber fly to stand was on dead wood branches.

And this morning I looked for it, and it turned out to be true that the fly with the scientific name Asilidae often standing on dry wood branches.

on a dry palm branch I saw him standing valiantly. look, Very man indeed! And occasionally fly a little to the leaves of the bushes next to the palm trees.

I'd like to show you some of the following macro photos in black and white image version as my entry for the daily #monomad challenge.
