There was no clouds, no wind at all, but the first 10mins of this ride I was freezing. Once you hit that groove, the rest of the ride was pure joy :-)

The quote is from our friend kiwibloke, the author of the cover photo. I think that in such a simple and brief way it sums up the spirit of cyclists. The weather doesn’t matter once you’re already on the bike. Under the sun that cooks the skin or with frozen bones, there comes a moment when you simply surrender to enjoyment… what counts is showing up, doing the route even if your mind has a thousand excuses not to.

And so we greet you today, fellows of this great community. How are you feeling? How far do you plan to go? 😀 We’re glad to see how more and more community members are getting inspired to write descriptions of their routes on Strava. Some are already adding extra details and even including more photos. That truly makes us happy. I’ve added a new metric to the summary of the Strava2Hive service participations: the average speed, calculated according to the time of the ride and the kilometres covered.
