The Mavic 3 is a lot heavier. It's a beast in the wind for sure though. I've easily flown in 20-30mph winds without issue. I was careful not to go too far, but it definitely handles the wind like a champ and has the power to still fly against it. I do love the small, light weight of the Mini2 though. If I travelled or hiked with it more would certainly go that route. My hikes are short enough the extra weight of the M3 doesn't bother me. Of course now they have an M3 Enterprise with built in thermal camera. If purchasing new, I would probably go that route, still a pro level camera and zoom, but adds the thermal. Haven't seen many pics out of them yet though.
