So it's Market Friday and I finally got out of the house and to the local quilt show. Not that I am that interested in quilting personally, but my better half has been making them and doing some that include her custom embroidery work. I must admit though, they are my favorite type of blanket. I grew up with my Grandmother's quilts around and there's just nothing quite satisfying as the weight, feel and warmth of a nice cozy quilt.

This little show/contest was held in St. Albans, Vermont, about 25 miles away from us, nice and close to visit.

I'll start with her quilt, it actually won a ribbon! Impressive, as this was her first try at using this method.

She also made this Llama quilt that she sells as a kit. The Llama's are machine embroidered, and come in the kit as the full squares, ready to be sewn together. You can also see some of the custom kitchen towels, and one of the many baby blanket size designs in purple.

I'll post more of her stuff later, or head over to the website Desi's Threads

The rest of these are just other random favorites from the show/contest.

This one was one of our favorites with the hand crafted witches scenes.
The below shows more detail view. It was the second place winner overall.

I really liked this elephant one too.

This Parrot one interesting, but a bit too busy for my taste.

That's it!
Enjoy and Happy Marketing!
