These emblematic boats are well-known to everyone visiting Venice. They silently roam around with their uniquely dressed "gondolier" (the driver). All of these fancy boats have a unique design, the basic colours are mainly black or dark blue. Some of them have a gorgeous interior decoration with fancy "thrones" to sit on. There are so many of them that sometimes there is a real traffic jam on the narrow canals. I have actually never tried to ride them (it is quite expensive), however I would love to do it one day....
