The British appreciate the Queen for her activity. Despite her 90th birthday, she still takes part in official ceremonies, allows her to be photographed with her family, and showed great sympathy for Princess Kate. In turbulent economic and political times, it is Elizabeth II who is the symbol of stability for the British. The tradition of sending the Queen greeting cards is still alive today, and every celebration of her anniversary draws crowds of people.
Of course, the Queen now performs more of a representative function than a leading one, but it is thanks to the Queen that many people today have the opportunity to live with dignity in one of the best (in all respects) European countries.
