I have a feeling that there's a big part of me that is left untapped and un-nurtured yet. Possibly because I am involved with a whole lot of stuffs and jumping into another would not be so wise. However, it won't be bad to explore once in a while for fun.
Over two thousand years ago, the Lion King established himself as the King of the Jungle. He was fierce in battle, swift to attack his prey, and no one in the animal Kingdom could withstand his aura.
He was feared by all animals, wild and domestic, aquatic and terrestrial alike. All animals paid tribute to this ferocious King, and never crossed path with him.
He ensured peace and stability in the animal Kingdom, and this continued for generations to generations to come.
But, in the 15th day of the 11th month of the year 2022, during the reign of King Khal I, the unexpected happened.
The clouds became gloomy and the skies cheerless.
THEY ARE HERE!
They are the eternal warriors (as they call themselves), who sought to rule over the animal world, but, we know them as Dragons.
The Elder and Elite dragons circled the sky, breathing forth searing fires that could melt chromium (one of the hardest metals on Earth) and spewed out scorching inferno from their mouths, causing the skies to shed tears and the moon to hide its smiles.
Who can withstand our wrath? They exclaimed!
The Lion's Den was covered in flames, but the Pride of Lions trooped out enmasse to battle with the "eternal warriors."
The battle lasted for 24 hours, and ended when King Khal gave the loud Roooooooooooooar after defeating the King Elder Dragon.
The Leo Power Up Day for the Month of November was given the theme of: SLAY THE DRAGON. We had to SLAY the DRAGON to defend the Lion's Den, and we did this by Powering Up Leo Tokens.
Those who powered up 2,000 or 5,000 Leo tokens were said to have killed the Elite and Elder Dragons respectively. Thus, they were celebrated after the Victorious battle, and were promised an NFT.
Some people killed only Lizard, don't ask me to name them (lol).
Okay...
So, one of the quests for Artists in the Threads Adoption Campaign is to:
Draw/Design/Create an image of a Lion fighting (and winning) against a dragon.
Yea, so this is my little Creation.
You can join in the Thread Adoption Campaign here for a chance to win a huge chunk of the $10,000 prize pool, NFTs and 100k HP for your favourite Community.
Before you criticise this work, I'd beg you to please be gentle on me (lol). The last time I held a pencil to draw was during my high school days (11-13 years ago) when I was battling with drawing the Reproductive System and other drawings thanks to Biology and Technical Drawing.
However, I knew I still had it in me, but I wasn't so sure since I didn't learn art or drawing in any way.
24 hours ago I challenged myself that I'd learn a little of 3D painting via YouTube and Udemy. And 15 hours ago @idksamad78699 told me the Mobile app he used to create a beautiful design: "Infinite Design."
I downloaded the app, watched few videos on YouTube and tried it as well to understand how it worked. After that, I tried to attempt drawing a Lion following the YouTube video I watched.
Yea, I learnt fast, right?
It was going on fine, till the Application stopped working. I was really disappointed, because I felt I had gone far. However, a very good friend of mine suggested that I try analogue drawing instead of digital. I reluctantly tried it out because I thought it'd be a waste of time, since I couldn't draw.
But, I was shocked because, although it was bad, it wasn't too bad, and that's progress for me.
Here is the process of how it went, through the picture development.
I am not a professional, infact I drew the Lion following this YouTube video and the Dragon following this YouTube Shorts.
However, you'd clearly see that I tried to flip the drawing myself, fit it well and added some other things.
More so, drawing it within 2 hours, as my first attempt is a huge win to me. Who knows, I may get to begin drawing, with time.
This post was inspired by the Zealy Quest on the Artist Adventure in Thread Adoption Campaign, and it also serves as my entry for the Creative Sunday in Hive Learner's Community.
I may not be your favourite author, but you can journey with me to help me develop my writing skills. I am always open to criticism, correction and learning 🥰.
