When I opened my eyes everything seemed different.
I could barely feel my body, although I was able to make certain physical movements.
I was conscious of my environment, but it seemed as though I was in an unconscious state.
My head was a blank slate; what John Locke calls "Tabula rasa."
There was complete silence, as opposed to the chaotic world I grew up in.
Only the chirping sound from the birds could be heard far away.
The scorching sun lost its harshness and became soothing, smooth and relaxing.
The Clouds were clear and smooth, and not dramatic; hence, I had no idea of what was going on.
Then suddenly I saw a faint image of two human-like figures up above the sky, coming forth from the dazzling sky.
A ladder decended from the clouds.
It seemed as though it were a wooden ladder, but in actuality it was my mind playing tricks on me.
More of the human-like figures came forth and began to descend, following the path of the ladder.
Suddenly, I saw myself ascending.
I was lost in my thoughts, wondering what all these could mean.
When I got to the end point of the ladder, the two human-like figures at the end point reached out to me, held my hands and said:
"Welcome to the afterlife"
