Whenever we are at the point of crossing over to a new year there are certain behaviours many people tend to display.
On the 30th or 31st December of every year, we see people buying imaginary scissors to cut off "fake friends" and "negative experiences" of the previous year. After this, the same set of people will enter into the New Year as a "100% New or changed being" and they will make almighty "New Year Resolutions" to fulfil in the course of the year.
Most times, I wonder the rationale behind this "ritual" and I wonder if it actually yields positive results I mean the imaginary scissors ritual.
Well, I wouldn't want to act as though I know it all because I really know nothing. However, if it works well for you, please don't forget to beep me up, I import and export scissors of every kind.
Sorry to inform you, this user isn't ksam any more but this is another person (a "NEW" person). Maybe his name is skam or aksm or kasm or mask (ahhhhhh! Did i just say Mask?). Anything but ksam... however, if you intend to send Hive, HBD, or any token to his account, feel free to use @ksam, he will send it to the New person.
Coughs!
I asked myself if I want to be a New Person this new year, 2023. But, looking critically at it, I had to say no without hesitation.
Do you really understand what this means? Like, I'd be with a new identity; all my passports will be changed; I will lose the five thousand naira in my bank account (ahhhh, that means no Ijebu garri again); and I won't be able to collect the 2,500 naira that @eugenia7499 promised me (heartbreak).
Ahhhh! Nooooooo!
But,
Maybe I'll have a finer face with a better portfolio. However, my only happiness will be that my village people like @onos-f and
@jesus-son will stop following me because they will be confused about my new identity (although they are naturally confused...shhhh! I didn’t say anything).

Well, I look forward to becoming a better version of myself this year, as always, every year. Definitely, I won't unravel all the mysteries or comprehend all there is to know because if I do then I am one step towards having the limited "all-knowing" superpowers wield by only God. However, since I don't, then I pray for God's guidance in this journey as I sail in the realm of uncertainties.
The last time I seriously wanted to keep my long list of New Year Resolutions, Corona happened and it ravaged the world so bad. Till today, the world hasn't recovered fully from the damages caused by this pandemic. Whether it was purposely done for political gains or not, the fact is that the economic, social and educational world, among many others, haven't recovered fully.
So, right now, I have washed my hands off anything concerning New year resolution list. I wish you all the best of luck in trying to keep and fulfil your New year's resolution.
However, I've made it a point of duty, responsibility and act of love to be always THANKFUL! To be thankful to God at any point in my life; whether at my happiest moments or in my time of sorrows. To be also thankful and show gratitude at all times to my family, friends and loved ones.
May this year be a year of thanksgiving for everyone of us.
Happy New Year to my lovely family on Hive!
