Stupid title, right?
Well, don’t blame me... I don’t think straight sometimes, and those who know me too well, know that I have a penchant for creating unique words.
When I read through the update from 
I can’t really say much about “the beginning of threads” because I only got to know about threads few hours before it came live for public access. Yea, so I can only speak from my experience.
Do you know why I am somewhat attached to threads?
The truth is that threads actually paved way for me to understand the Leofinance community better and fit myself in the Leoverse.
Prior to the advent of threads, I was just a confused Newlion trying so hard to get in the flow of the “Leofinancial” niche, after having emersed myself in the tide of the music niche on Hive.
Thanks to threads, I got my first big win on Hive via the threadstorm contest and it made me much more interested in the Leofinance community. This interest was substantiated by the powering up of the Leo rewards I received for the contest. Well, the rest is history...enough of the true-life story.
On August 4th 2022, Leothreads went live and the Leoverse was thrown into turmoil... just kidding!
When the initial version of Leothreads was released, there were some noticeable glitches that prevented mobile users from enjoying this new feature. However, within few days the Mighty Khal and his magnificent team swung into action and solved the problem.
Little by little, newer updates were rolled out and more users came on board. The updates include, but not limited to:
and many more. The more we had “cooler” updates, the more we had “cooler” Hivers on board.
On February 13 2023, the New Leofinance User Interface was launched in its alpha mode, and leothreads stood at the center or home of the new UI. With this New UI, we had many Lions, communities and Hivers on board, because... damn! The New UI looks so sweeeeeet and really fast. Who would wanna miss out?
The difference between threads in the Old UI and threads in the New UI was so conspicuous such that if you taste the New UI, going back to the old UI will be really difficult.
Yea! Old things have passed away!
As the days went by, amazing updates were rolled out all in a bid to increase the performance of threads and make the users enjoy threads better. Some of the updates and features added so far include:
And many more. With all these amazing features, we witnessed a massive increase in the Monthly Active Users in threads.
