馃幍 Hello Music Lovers of Hive Music community! 馃帣
For us, who are Christians, we believe that our existence in this world isn't without a purpose. Put differently, we are on earth for a reason, and this earthly journey is a means towards our goal of eternal happiness found in God.
We believe that God has a plan for us and for our lives, and it is essential that we align ourselves with the will of God in our lives. However, it isn't the case that we are in chains, no. In fact, as humans, we enjoy the gift of rationality and freedom; where in we can decipher the good from the bad, and we can decide to do the good over evil, or vice versa. Hence, in as much as God has a plan for us, we can decide to go along with His plans for us, or we can decide to do whatever we will. It's our decision, but every decision comes with responsibilities attached.
Well, we also believe that God didn't leave us without a guide. He gave us the book of life, the Bible, to be a guide for us; and His only Son also came down and showed us the way to the Father. In His words, we found and still find hope, light, solace, peace and life.
The Word of God is indeed alive and active; it can soften the strongest heart and turn a heart of stone to a heart of love.
In this piece, I present Ancient Words by Michael Smith. Its a song that praises the Divine Word of God, which gives hope, joy and peace.
I hope you enjoy this little cover of mine.
I played the guitar first as the instrumental part, and played the recorder as melody over the instrumental loop.
