I was buying BTC at $100 a pop and gambling on it by playing poker. I’ve played since I was like 5 years old and love the game. Unfortunately, no one takes it seriously if there is no skin in the game. Some how there was less fuckery involved in playing with BTC than playing one of the other “legal” play for money US websites.
It is fun magic Monopoly money and “Why would people want this shit?”, were my initial thoughts.
Then I was indoctrinated after I started to investigate the power of the tech. I won around 220 BTC and then lost the keys. Whoops. I quit for years.
Smart contracts hit the block (no pun intended) and I was hooked with the idea. Got into a crappy Ethereum clone community, they started talking about Steem. I was hooked and here we are.
