Yeah discrete math is for sure in the cards if I decide to continue the major. Also, another round of calculus. Like I said, the neuroscience thing is there too. While I find it a lot more interesting there aren't many jobs.

Interestingly, I've been doing great with CS when it comes to building my own stuff. I got accepted for a publication and gave a presentation on some blockchain stuff in Orlando a couple of weeks ago. The school agreed to pay me (for my research) for a blockchain based inventory system. So there's that.

My main problem is that I'm just way too busy man.

Here's a short list of my summer:

  1. Finish up helping with research for a potential pediatric drug for emphysema. (It seems to be working in mice. Just have to verify the toxicity.)

  2. Start my blockchain fellowship for the school.

  3. Finish another blockchain academic thing of mine. (The paper

  4. Get some training from University of Louisville's medical school for genetic sequencing and analysis.

  5. Analyze some data for the microbiome of mice, (mainly pertaining to some Covid-related stuff/old data).

  6. Develop a system of quantifying behavior in mice using computer vision/machine learning. (This study pertains to prenatal opioid exposure. Essentially the mice seem like they never get out of a juveniles state.)

  7. Work my ass off as a first responder. (Hours can be brutal.)

  8. Dad-life (2 kids)

  9. Do normal coursework. (It's undergrad, so it isn't crazy, crazy.)

  10. Hopefully work on some personal academic pursuits as well.

I wish I had more time and money. It's been nice having a week to break. I've been crushing it productivity wise but as of right now I'm not feeling the effects of this work.
