So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the third topic for this week, which is “KID INFLUENCERS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “MEMES AND GIFS”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their thoughts on GIFs and memes and how they made interactions on the internet better for everyone. It’s no news that GIFs and memes make chats and articles more colorful and infuse humor into subjects that are quite serious.
We got to see that these are staples of today's internet, and we basically can’t do without them anymore. Thousands of GIFs and memes are created every day, making them one of the core areas of social media and the internet at large. It was an interesting topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w220e2 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. For this author, he told us that there are some people who are obsessed with sharing GIFs and memes. As in, no day passes that they don’t share it. But then, some only tolerate it or enjoy it when they’re sent. And there are others who get irritated when people send it to them. But in a nutshell, GIFs and memes are quite funny, and they make social media a more interesting place to be.

“Should kids be allowed to be influencers? There are many children today who have millions of followers across social media, just because their parents decided to make them content creators. Is this a path that should be decided for the child? Especially when you consider the dangers such a thing comes with. Or is all this a case of the parents exploiting the children for their own gain?”
