I've gotten hooked on an old card game I played in high school back in the late 90's: Magic: The Gathering. Except this time around, it's online, and I don't have to buy any cards. MTG Arena is the app.
That's part of the reason I haven't been posting much. I'm just meh overall. With the forthcoming so-called "improvement proposal" for Steem's economy, I am just even more meh about Steem. I guess the two things confluenced together to give me less motivation to want to take the time to write something and post like I normally do.
Gaming is quite a distraction. MTG was a game I spent so much money over my high school years. You just want to try to get better cards to win more. The gamification of many areas of life can fit the same profile as regular games, such as MTG.
Does Steem fit the bill? Are we trying to get better at posting, commenting, and making connections so that we drive up our "winnings", of winning content and winning rewards.
