Interesting experiment. Sam, do you intend to do a similar test with young fruit trees?
I wrote about the two cherry trees I had to cut down. I have purchased new fruit trees: cherry, apple and Williams pear. Planted them last year by the end of October and they're super healthy and doing great growth wise so far.
