Hello guys! I've done quite a few speedpaints in the past week, but I'm lagging behind on posting them xD
This one was fun and really relaxing to draw.

It kind of reminds me of the Firewatch game :)
I used separate layers, to make drawing easier and adding details later.
You can see the atmospheric perspective in this painting- further layers become lighter and desaturated.
I use some overlay and color dodge layers to achieve a brighter and more fiery effect.
This is sunrise, so I used mostly warm yellows and oranges, whereas sunset would have pinks and purples.
I mostly use 1-2 brushes for all of the speedpaints, because brushes are less important than the composition and lighting.
With more time, I'd probably define the clouds a bit more and maybe add some unique element to make the drawing more interesting, like a bird or a watchtower ;)

Last but not least we have round 24h left for the Pixelart Contest!! There are so many incredible entries already, this will be harder to judge than I imagined :O :D I'll post the winner and new theme in around 48h.
Tomorrow I might take a day off from all social media tomorrow, I've heard it can do wonders for mental health. If been feeling a little jittery lately, I barely drink coffee and I lowered sugar even more. So I'm curious how much internet and checking notifications affects my concentration.
