Veganism in the 21st century seems to be ostensibly identified with the left and as a social justice movement. In the same way that many feminists often see sexism and the patriarchy everywhere, Vegans have a tendency to cry exploitation anywhere.

Veganism is not about social justice. It is rooted in Ahimsa: The Jain Tradition of Non Violence dating back 9000 years ago advocating respect for all living things and avoidance of violence towards others.

The modern definition of Veganism is rooted in Marxist ideas e.g.
commodification and exploitation. Exploitation, implying the use of someone or something as a resource is a subjective term used in Marxist philosophy. Using buzzwords like exploitation and commodification have absolutely nothing to do with the heart of the philosophy.

Something is either done with consent or without. Simply using someone or something as a resource doesn't denote an immoral action if it’s mutually beneficial and done without coercion or violence. It's what you call a symbiotic relationship.

Furthermore, rights only apply to individuals.
Social justice i.e group justice enables the rights of the individual to be violated in favour of the group.
