We started this year with this nice place called Lakeshore, located in Pampanga. This is one of our local amusement parks here in the Philippines. Since new year is a holiday, my sister came up with the idea to go out and bring the kids at Lakeshore to make the most out of their vacation. It's my first time there as well so I joined the fun.
Lakeshore is a park along the lake where you can have a picnic or simply have a seat and hangout at the logs and trees there. They also have a mini amusement park and food booths. The rides are most likely designed for kids so they are not as intense as the ones at the big amusement parks.
THE WARM-UP
We actually had a warm-up with the tiger train ride. I was not able to take its photo but it's a relaxing ride. It's a train ride designed with the shape of a tiger. It moves at an average speed that is suitable for kids so you won't get dizzy.
The next ride we had is similar to the concept of anchor's away. I was not able to take a photo of this one as well because the staff let us in right away. The ride is a big boat that swings so high that it tickles your stomach. My stomach is very sensitive to that kind of ride especially when you are swinging downwards coming from a very high position. At least it only tickles and it doesn't upset my stomach as long as I ride when I'm not full.
OCTOPUS RIDE
The third ride we had is this octopus. Inspired from an octopus, the tentacles of this ride is where you sit. I can say that this is the most intense ride we had because some people get dizzy after the ride. The octopus rotates while each seat rotates in its place as well and it's a little fast. This is the ride that drained my niece's energy. She got a bit dizzy, making this octopus her last ride. I love intense rides so I can say that I did enjoy this octopus ride.
FRISBEE
This Frisbee was the last ride we had in our stay at Lakeshore. As we look at the rides, we thought this frisbee was the second most intense ride next to the ferris wheel. But since my nephew doesn't want to ride the ferris wheel, we decided to save this frisbee for the last, thinking that this is more intense than the octopus ride but we're wrong. This one swings high but not as fast as the octopus ride. It only slants a bit while rotating like how a frisbee moves, but the seat does not rotate on its place like the octopus ride does. No one got dizzy there.
FERRIS WHEEL
This ferris wheel is my most awaited ride when we were at Lakeshore park. The others are just our warm-up. We're about to save this one for the last since this is the most intense ride. It's faster than the normal ferris wheel. You can see how the seats get slanted because of its speed. I see those who ride there getting a bit laid. Some of them scream a bit. Among the intense rides, what I love most are the ones that are high and fast moving. The kids got scared so we decided not to ride it so I just took a photo and kept this one as a souvenir. I'm just accompanying them since the rides are by pairs. If one of us won't ride, then we skip it. I will ride this one with someone who has a brave soul someday.
THE LAKE
This lake is an attraction to those who want to relax. They offer a boat ride there at daytime. People can have a picnic there as well. This photo I captured is the view where we sat after enjoying the rides at the amusement park. We took a rest at the lake for a while. It's indeed a relaxing place to sit while enjoying a nice view. My niece felt better after taking a rest there. We had a dinner later on.
Going to a park like this is something fresh for us. We rarely go out on a new year because we usually have a reunion with our relatives as part of our tradition. We enjoyed this park at the first day of the year. I recommend this place to those who prefer rides that are kid friendly and to those who love to relax and have a picnic or a romantic boat ride. Parking is convenient too because this place provides a big space that can accommodate a large number of vehicles. The area for game and food booths can also accommodate big groups of people as well, so there are many activities and foods to choose from. This place is ideal for both fun and relaxation, which can cater the preferences of kids and adults. Lakeshore is worth the visit.
