Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Back with another quick vegetable home garden update. Look at how much they've grown. This post is an update on the bok choy and kale I planted mid last month. It's been a while since my last update. I started growing these vegetables in plastic baskets and foam boxes 34 days ago. Time to see their progress.
Let's start with the kale. Today marks day 34 since I planted them. But they would be 31 days old now if they all survived. Unfortunately, this attempt was a failure. Most of the kale was devoured by caterpillars, leaving only a few plants standing, even though I had sprayed them with organic pest control. And this is only a portion of the kales from the total number of plastic baskets.
Next, let’s look at the bok choy in the plastic baskets and styrofoam boxes. I planted them 34 days ago, but their actual growth age is 31 days now, same as the kale. Although I planted bok choy at the same time as kale, but the growth of the bok choy is completely opposite to the kale. Even though there are currently caterpillars eating their leaves, causing many plants in some baskets to be damaged, and despite the fact that I sprayed organic insect and pest control, most of them survived and are growing quite well. In particular, the bok choy in the foam boxes is growing much better than in the plastic baskets. Come and see some examples of the bok choy that I've planted in some plastic baskets and foam boxes.
