I can't escape Google. When I find a browser that is great it turns out to be based on Chromium the OpenSource version of Google Chrome.
If I don't want prying eyes am I to use sticks and stones to browse the Internet? The Internet is integral to my daily computer use. Here's to hoping that leaving Google Chrome was enough.
At least Opera is more mature than Brave Browser.
What we need is a new Browser, one that can render any page, one that has extensions, etc but one that is not currently controlled by Government and Corporations that think they have a right to tell you how to live, what to buy, where to work, and most of all don't silence you because your views are in opposition to them.
Maybe the new browser should be able to use everyone's extensions plus be easily extensible as well. If we had it, what would it be called "Highland's Browser?" - "One to Rule them All?"
