Hi Guys. AFFLICTION is one of the abilities that is often overlooked, especially in the lower leagues where the HEALING ability is rarely chosen, but let me share a game where AFFLICTION was the difference maker.
BATTLE OF THE DAY
The rulesets are EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY and KEEP YOUR DISTANCE, which means this is going to be a frontal battle, which is why I chose OSHANNUS and placed him in the first position because of his abilities VOID and PHASE which makes him an excellent tank, I also picked a secondary tank BAAKJIRA that will tank the BLAST damage from the enemy and supported two of my tanks by picking HEALERS which will heal both of my first and second position monster. Since I was expecting the enemy to go for the same thing, I chose DOCTOR BLIGHT for his AFFLICTION ability to negate the HEAL of the enemy and added a range damage monster just to make sure I have both magical and physical damage.

I am always playing in either BRONZE or SILVER leagues and based on my experience, I rarely see my opponent use this specific ability. In the lower leagues, the usual gameplay is to simply overpower the enemy monsters, or both of you can choose monsters with the HEAL ability and hope to win the game. However, getting a monster with this AFFLICTION ability is a great addition to your deck; it is a situational monster, but since the all-magic lineup + healing in the EARTH splinter is in meta, this ability is a great counter to it, giving you an advantage and easy win.
