Hey, I've been particularly fascinated by the photographic stills you can find in movies by simply pausing them at the right moments.

I wondered, what is it about these pictures that make it look like a paused movie?

Then I decided I wanted to take pictures that look like they were from movie stills, so I did some research.

This website above has been the only resource from which I have been able to derive some information on the practice of taking pictures that look like movie stills, or "cinematic".

Here is an album with some examples.

Is anyone else out there familiar with this form of photography?
What makes these pictures look like stills and not regular pictures?
