Hello again, my coffee loving friends. The battle I got today is not really good. I did not expect that looking for the rule set required in the Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets Contest was really really hard. Without any exaggerations, for the last five days, I've been grinding trying to get a Little League rule set and even buying some energy to find it. In about 400+ games, I found it only twice and both of them, I lost. Around the 100th mark, on my second lost, I was planning to use Mylor Crowling. But the next games, until the time I get to start on this blog, I wasn't able to get to use it on Little League.
I'm also running out of time so I decided to use this game as an example even though I lost.
This is the link for the battle. Click here to watch the entire replay.
In this battle, up to 32 mana are allowed.
In this batte, and all elements are allowed.
You can see other rule sets here .
There was a lot of Earth team today. I'm betting on the chance that the opponent will also play Earth with Obsidian. Once they do, counter Obsidian with Bortus and use the Heal from Xenith Monk and Tank Heal from Merdaali Guardian to sustain the game.
Due to panic of what I am going to play, I also accidentally added Scavo Hireling. Scavo Hireling's Repair would've been a good combo with Venari Wavesmith's Protect but Venari Wavesmith is 5 mana so I cannot play her in this battle.
In this battle, I used the summoner xxx and monsters Bortus, Xenith Monk, Feasting Seaweed, Merdaali Guardian, Scavo Hireling, Kulu Swimhunter and Merdhampir.
Bortus ||
Xenith Monk ||
Feasting Seaweed ||
Medaali Guardian ||
Scavo Hireling ||
Kulu Swimhunter || n/a || Level 1 || 2 range damage for 4 mana. Decent damage and places near the end since range monsters without Close Range cannot attack when in front.
Merdhampir ||
Opponent's Serpentine Spy killed my Scavo Hireling with his Opportunity ability but I got back with my own Opportunity kill with the help of Feasting Seaweed when he kills the opponent's Battering Ram.
Opponent's Serpentine Spy second kill is Merdhampir.
Another kill from the opponent's Serpentine Spy. With the death of my Kulu Swimhunter, my damage is starting to get hit a lot. Uraeus also took a Sneak and killed Merdaali Guardian.
My Feasting Seaweed tried to steal a kill but missed his attack on Serpentine Spy which would've cause his death.
Serpentine Spy made a comeback for a fourth kill on Feasting Seaweed. Uraeus ended the the game when he killed Xenith Monk.
There are two problems in this battle: Opponent has higher speed so they attack first eliminating my units before they attack and I have low damage so I can't go past the opponent's Antoid Platoon's Shield making my attacks blocked.
