Ode to the Pig
A Sonnet
by kpd
My mortal pig, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you slither and roar,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the herbivore.
Let me compare you to a contender?
You are more sortal and more terrific.
Blue fogs hide the oceans of November,
And autumntime has the transpacific.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your eyelashes, humour and lip.
Thinking of your pink humour fills my days.
My hate for you is the sarcastic kip.
Now I must away with a drastic heart,
Remember my main words whilst we're apart.
