Heyyyy guyss! I got pretty busy with school (again) and when @adamada told me about this Team of Two Contest hosted by @scrawly and @veryspider, I wasn't sure if I was gonna make it. I've been drawing a lot of chibis for a subject in my class. We made them into stickers and keychains and sold them :> I'll post a few chibis I made now that we are done selling \o/ With all those cutesy things I had to draw, gothic was complete change in style so I got really hyped and heere goes!
Fallen Angel
When @adamada sent a sketch, I couldn't help myself from doing it... Even though I have ton to do >u<
Originally, this was the pose he was going for. But what's more gothic than a lifeless body? A scary figure carrying it. :> Sooo, I asked maybe if the creature could carry the lifeless body of a girl... in a princess carry... almost as if he feels remorse.
Here's the rough sketch for the pose and I was so excited. I figured, since he was good at drawing monsters (based on what I've seen on the sketches he made for 'Takipsilim', a game we were working on) and I drew girls most of the time, I thought he could make the creature and I the girl.
And so it begins... After sketching the girl, I added some colors to help visualize what I was going for.
I just used snipping tool for this one just to show ada and when he said he liked it, I couldn't be more excited. (We fixed the long neck problem after...)
I refined it and tada! Now it was his turn to make this art gothic.
This was what he had in mind. I liked the red heart-ish he added; it was hard to make a skull show emotions so adding a heart-ish figure was a perfect touch to it. Big and pretty wings but we scratched that later on because none of us could pull it off uwu
Then, he sent a variety of skull looks to choose from
Since a skull can neither frown nor look sad, he added blood tears which added to the gothic feel of the image. We went for the first one but with hood. We should've gone for the third one
After that were the wings. Since we couldn't do the feathery type, we went for the bony one. Oh hey, he flipped it back \o/
He asked me to make the wings more 3-dimensional sooo I popped a few colors and done! Yay for my first collab ever! \o/\o/ Gotta thank ada for making me participate in this. I had lots of fun :>
Ooh, and special thanks to @jazzhero for positive reinforcements hahaha I asked him if he could make a story for our art to make it more collab-er but he was busy at the moment (also it was a 'Team of Two' and going three might break the rules >u<)
That's about it!
