Cristiano Ronaldo's career is arguably one of the best, if not the best career in the history of football. We've witnessed such crazy goals, monster dribbling, and that lustrous career he's had as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus player. The last three clubs he joined along with his heroics for the Portugal national team were the crowning moments of his career.

In Ronaldo's 1145 professional appearances, he scored a whopping 819 goals and assisted 234 times, for club and country. As a matter of fact, he is the top goal scorer in the history of football with that 819 goals (and counting). At the age of 37 still grinding as a top professional, I believe he should be respected and regarded as one of the very best to have graced football.

But What's Next for Cristiano?

Despite the sweetest facts I've mentioned above, Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal is currently on the hardest times of his career. I will tell you a harsh fact - He's been rejected by a lot of top clubs in Europe. One of the most sought player in the history of football is now being delisted as a target among teams.

His recent controversy was that interview with Piers Morgan expressing his utter disappointment to Manchester United's current manager Erik Ten Hag, to the players, and to the whole management. I'll list some of the things he said below:

He disrespects Ten Hag because the manager is not respecting him too.
There are people from the management forcing him out of the club
There have been minimal changes to the whole Old Trafford, from food, gym, and other facilities - he said it was the same
Some players are forcing him out of the team.
He wants to compete in the champions league

That interview sparked the entire footballing world, especially Manchester United fans. A lot of fans have expressed their disappointment with that interview and lost their complete respect. He was a hero at Manchester United, sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United have developed this young man from Sporting but it ended with bitterness. That interview with Piers Morgan was the biggest reason why Manchester United had to terminate his contract, making him clubless until now.

Cristiano Ronaldo has also been very poor in the latest edition of the World Cup. I believe that was already his last stint (because he's too old for the next edition), and it did not end the way he portrayed it to be. He ended up scoring just one goal in Portugal's entire tournament run, which was a penalty. After that, he's been really silent, no assists or goals.

One very disappointing fact is that Ronaldo didn't even start in the game against Switzerland and Morocco. He was used as a substitute. This was a hard slap in the face for Ronaldo as rumors circulating the manager has not been trusting Ronaldo because he is breaking the flow of the system. It was different, when he entered the field in around 50th minute against Morocco, the team had a lot of chances. But it didn't eliminate the fact that Portugal exits the tournament in the QF.

I have been following Ronaldo's path lately. He's been a top class and he's one of the players I enjoy watching. His stint in Real Madrid was the years of his career where he was just a monster. He is:

On a very close negotiation with Al Nassr, a Saudi-Arabian club offering 200m Euros a year! that's a whopping 200m Euros. Al Nassr believes Cristiano will boost the coutry's football project. As Fabrizio Romano mentioned,

€200m/year proposal confirmed, valid until June 2025, but it’s up to Cristiano, still waiting for his green light

I think Cristiano wants to stay in Europe still compete with the best. That's a slap on his career joining Al Nassr as it is nowhere to be found in terms of footballing quality. Also, he might be very afraid Messi catches up on his records. The Argentinian is very close to surpassing Ronaldo's record and as what many mentioned, 2nd place will not be recognized that much by the public.

I believe all of the fans are saddened to witness this downfall of Ronaldo's career. We always want the best of our experience and this Portuguese superstar is what we all fans want to see more. He's a joy to watch, he entertains us with his goals, and most importantly he motivates us with his passion and dedication to the sport. I'll rest my case for now. That's all for it now, guys.
