- PLANNING BUT NOT ACTING
All you're going to do is spend time re-planning. Make goals. Accomplish them.
- FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF
What does this accomplish? Oh, nothing? Then, stop it.
7 SECOND RULE: Feel bad for yourself for seven seconds, then get on with your bad self.
- COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS
Instead, be inspired by others and learn from them.
- GOSSIPING
All it does is make people worried you will talk about them too. Bad karma in general. Stay away from this one.
- PUTTING OTHERS FIRST
Why do you do this? Are they putting you first? If not, then who is? You are! Now get to it!
- WAITING FOR "LUCK"
Good luck with that one. See what I did there? We only see others as lucky, because we don't see their struggles behind the scenes.
- PUTTING OFF CLEANING
Make mess. Clean it. Move on to next task.
I am guilty of this. I have spent so. much. damn. time. worrying about a messy apartment, when I could have cleaned it and went back to achieving my tasks for the day.
- OVERSHARING ON SOCIAL MEDIA
For some of us, social media is an important part of our career, but does anyone really need to know about your family life or how that Mexican food went on a digestive rampage? Nope. definitely nope.
- NOT SETTING PRIORITIES
If you don't prioritize tasks, how will you know where to start? It's a good idea to sort tasks into categories. If you'd like me to make an article on this, let me know.
- NOT HAVING A PLAN FOR THE DAY
What will you accomplish today? Oh, you don't know? Wrong!!! Get to it, boss lady!
Are you guilty of any of these? Which one is the hardest for you? Let me know.
