Great toad story I have to share, papa-pepper@papa-pepper. I was recently in New Zealand, visiting The Shire from Lord of the Rings filming, and they dug a pond for shooting. They wanted it to age naturally, so came back in four months just before filming began. It was apparently overrun with toads and frogs that were SO loud, they couldn't hear the actors lines if they were in the vicinity of the pond. They assigned a few crew to catch every single toad, put them in buckets and drive them a few miles away to another pond. They story they told was, when the cast arrived the next morning, ALL the toads had returned! Ultimately, there was one crew member who's job it was to throw a small pebble to disturb the water every five minutes to keep them quiet during scenes, lol
