There is another extraordinary place I like to share with you guys during our stay in Thailand and that is our short but pleasant stay over the other side of Koh Samui Island, we visited this resort upon recommendation from a friend who had stay there himself for a week. There was two ways of getting there in the quickest was either by speedboat or fly, speedboat would have been great for more sight seeing along the way by would have taken more time and more costly, so fly we did out of Koh Samui airport and in less then an hour we were in Krabi airport and were picked up by a mini van to take us to Kaleane Villa Resort.
Kaleane Villa Resort was just over half hour drive from the Krabi airport it was a very beautiful lush green drive through the city and local towns of Krabi huge limestone mountains all around us you could smell the freshness of the mountains, upon arriving to our destination it seemed like we had made the right choice. These were some views from the road looking down to our stunning water front resort.

This resort was by no means going to be a white sandy beach resort where you get severed Pina Colada's under a umbrella on the beach and have all the beach vendors wanting you to buy something of them, these were villas built purposely for a relaxing get away and feeling like you were in your own private home doing your thing at your own leisure with peace and tranquility, staring at the moonlight and stars.
You have the whole villa to yourself with four bedrooms one for each night if you wanted, with all there own bathrooms, large kitchen to cook all you desired, beautiful manicure lawn surrounded by a refreshing swimming pool and directly in front of your villa you are looking at these green lush limestone peaks in the Andaman sea with a Buddha statue on the lawn which was amazing, also many different exotic plants to look at, now this was exactly what we had ordered to finish of our holiday in style.
There were four villas in this Thai style, we stayed at the far end one and they were all basically the same set up, on the second day that morning we took a walk around the front side of these villas and met a gentlemen who had apparently bought one of the four Thai villas and had refurbished and renovated it a bit just to bring it all up to scratch as they were a little run down but still beautiful in there own way. He was a American guy married to a Thai Lady, retire here in Thailand, great choice of location to retire.

That same day he invited us around for late afternoon dinner he said he had caught a couple of big fish from just throwing his fishing line out from his front lawn how cool is that dinner couldn't be served any fresher. He had a smoker he just gutted the fish or his wife did and placed it in the smoker a couple of hours later it was the best fish we had ever tasted not sure but I think it was a Barracuda fish.
And then we all sat by the pool enjoying a few cold beers and a chat watching that stunning sunset unfold, even though those dark clouds looked threatening it didn't rain and gave the sunset a awesome effect with the reflections across the Andaman sea.
Even the moonlight was so peaceful to look at out here.
The next day we took a walk along the shore line of the Andaman sea, it was time to look at some beautiful nature that, this coastline had to offer and we were not disappointed walking along barefoot mostly in water but sometimes on the little patches of sand, it all felt so quiet and natural, this part of Krabi is not really a busy tourist area but only 30 minutes away which is one of the many islands of Krabi called Ao Nang were it is more touristy offering the beautiful crystal blue sea and white sand beach, we had seen enough of that and just wanted to feel and see the untouched nature.
This walk could not have be more beautiful and natural we were seeing a lot of boats along our walk as we got further up the coastline we could see a boat ramp and many more tailboats, it was here were the night fisherman would come in after there night catch and load their catch onto trucks, taking them to there local fish market.
It was here on our last leg of our vacation that we experienced the real Thai lifestyle, living in a real Thai atmosphere, it was so relaxing and peaceful been surrounded by this beautiful nature and awesome sunsets, it certainly beat staying in hotels or bigger resorts. So happy we did that and we when home so stress free.
